Hello all,
In looking at various gis or mapmaking software...I am finding that most fail to recognize the difference between the international foot unit and the us foot unit. Some states here in the US have to use (by law) the us foot unit. Can Mapmaker Pro use the us foot unit? or is it just based on the intl. foot? I would think it would be a simple conversion to incorporate in the software. I have wasted time playing with software only to realize this at a later date (for instance Delorme's Xmap doesn't have the ability to display units in the us foot...and it's made here!) Thanks for any response.

Map Maker uses the "US Survey Foot" (0.304800609 metres). We do this since few other places use the foot and where someone does use the foot for small scale historic purposes the difference of about two parts in a million is not a problem.
