Estate management:

Digital mapping systems have been introduced at several prestigious estates (please contact us for references). These digital tools allow all personnel access to OS maps, historic maps and various databases. Clicking on the map opens the relevant database entries or opens different maps or aerialphotography of the estate. These systems are extreemly efficient, simple to use and serve departments such as the Land Agency, Forestry, Farming, Gardens and Buildings. 

The map below was custom made for an estate. This particular map was printed on A1 -poster- format.
The map was drawn from aerial photography but completed with some field survey to increase the detail.

The digital data set now holds information about: land use, vegetation, forestry management, an arboretum,
type and quality of boundary (dry stone wall, fences, hedgerows) etc.
