Nature Survey 'Dry Heathland - South East Dartmoor':
A research
project to survey the heathland condition in south east Dartmoor.
The researcher used a GPS system to record the exact boundary of each unique
vegetation area.
The GPS data was processed to create a variety of maps.
Individual sites were presented on A4 sized maps. The total data set (see the
overview map left) was incorporated in English Nature's GIS (MapInfo).
