SHOP: Maps

This map was hand drawn, with a stylus, using aerial photography. Great care was taken to identify different vegetation, habitats and land use using an extraordinary detailed legend. The map was produced for the Ardtornish Estate. The core estate was mapped at 1:1.250 scale, open moorland at 1:5,000 and 1:10,000 scale. This 1:25,000 is automatically derived from it. This digital map is used by the Estate in their Geographic Information System and serves as an ultimate base map.
